Police out in force as students protest

The National Union of Students (NUS) is calling for nationwide protests against Government cuts to higher education and deregulation of University fees.

Student anger comes after the Coalition promised cuts and the deregulation of fees to tertiary education during the 2014 budget.

At the Melbourne protest yesterday, Police were out in force as University students rallied for change.

Chanting “No ifs, no buts, no education cuts,” the NUS has vowed to keep expressing outrage until their demands are met.
