‘No Jab No Pay’ Policy Increased

Written by Hannah Clarke

The Federal Government is stepping up the penalties for parents who do not immunise their children properly, with the legislation being introduced to parliament later today.

Currently, parents who do not vaccinate their children are losing supplement of almost 740 dollars a year.

The Social Services Minister, Chris Porter, hopes that these immediate consequences will act as an incentive to those on welfare.

The new rules will cut $28 a fortnight from their benefits.
