A pair of pedestrians dash across the tram rails along Swanston Street on Thursday afternoon. Even though there are street crossings at the extreme ends of Swanston Street, many still choose to illegally cross the street in the middle of the stretch just to save a few minutes of time, despite the risk of trams running through the street.
