Police prepare for violence at tonight’s racism rally

Police are out in force in preparation for tonight’s ‘No Room for Racism’ rally at Melbourne’s City Square.

Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner Stephen Leane said the increased police presence at the event was a precaution after last months clash between Reclaim Australia and anti-racism groups turned violent.

At least 4 people were arrested for violence-related crimes during last months protest, including attacks on police horses.
