In 2015, I moved from Vancouver Island in Canada to Melbourne to do the Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) at RMIT.
I’m in my second year now, and so far the experience and the education I’ve received has been well worth leaving behind my Mum, Dad, sister and friends.
So far, I have figured out that I’m not all that interested in news journalism, but the freelance work I have done over the past year and a half has shown me that there are many alternatives.
I would like to write for a magazine like NatGeo or Dumbo Feather, or do work in education, philanthropy or social change.
