I found it refreshing and inspiring to see that the leaders in the journalism sphere have acknowledged the mistakes of the past, and renewed their commitment to serve the community by providing fair, balanced and independent journalism.
In rapidly changing journalism environment I believe that to continue to uphold the public sphere we must consistently reflect on the role we play, and commit ourselves to continuing to improve the way we engage with the important issues. The technology available today to journalist’s will assist in better connecting with the people we serve.

She explain that the podcasting’s unique format has the potential for a deeper engagement of breaking news issues and that the advances in technology will allow quality podcasting to be created in a shorter timeframe.
As an avid listener, the unique way podcasts are able to convey stories and provide in depth account of issues is something the has always captured my attention. Podcasts provide an alternative point of difference to the traditional forms of media.
I’ve always liked the delivery method of podcasts, you can take in news and information without the need to have your eyes fixed on a screen or locked into a chair.
Podcast are one of the future formats of journalism and for the next evolution in podcasts to materialise news producers must be willing to risk much and invest in more production staff and original programming.
