Melbourne Trial Busking Law Putting Performers at Risk

Following an increased number of complaints about sound levels, from Monday 1 August to 31 October 2016, City of Melbourne have implemented a trial legislation banning buskers using amplification in Swanston Street between Flinders Lane to La Trobe Street at all times, seven days per week.

Feedback and comments received throughout the 3-month trial period will be evaluated to determine the future for amplification laws and our street buskers.
