Removing 50 of Victoria’s most dangerous level crossings was the marquee pre-election pledge from the now Andrews Labor government.
One of the first crossings to go was North Road Ormond, in the highly marginal southern Melbourne electorate of Bentleigh. Many local businesses were hurt by the disruptive building work, but that’s now changing.
