Victorian police are not certain a woman is barricaded inside a Melbourne home with a dangerous career criminal; Australian airline Qantas has announced it will split its international and domestic arms into separate businesses from July; the federal Coalition believes it may have found inconsistencies in Labor MP Craig Thomson’s statement to parliament regarding allegations of improper use of union funds; and a new report suggests more than half of Australia’s population believes immigration is out of control.
