Construction company, Grocon, has again come under fire from the construction union, as the CFMEU continues the campaign for safer workplaces.
Thousands of union members and construction site workers yesterday walked peacefully from Melbourne Trades Hall to the Swanston Street wall collapse site, then on to the Myer Emporium site and finished at the office of Worksafe.
Four poeple have died on Grocon worksites this year.
CFMEU members, including secretary John Setka, were some of the first people on the scene of the Grocon wall collapse and he says he wants to raise awareness in the general public about safe work practices.
