Where?  342 Little Bourke Street
This Chinese palace is so small it hardly qualifies as a restaurant. There may not be much room to wine and dine, but what Shangai Dumplings lacks in space it makes up for in taste.
Dishes include: beef noodles, crispy chicken, dumplings in chilli oil, fried pork buns, fried pork dumblings, fried vegetarian dumplings and many more.
Average price per meal: $12

Where?  235 Bourke Street
Malaysian mates will love this easy-to-find restaurant for both it’s food and it’s energy. Chatter away with friends and family, just be sure to try the crispy chicken!
Dishes include: asaam fish on rise, crispy chicken rise, hot plate noodles, nasi pattaya and many more.
Average price per meal: $10

Where?  Melbourne Central
Don’t let the ‘central’ name fool you, Chilli India can be a little hard to find but definitely worth the wait. Long lines move quickly so you can get that curry in a hurry!
Dishes include: egg plaster, biryani, chicken tikka masala, roti and many more.
Average price per meal: $10

Where?  Melbourne Central
This little Asian café combines a sense of Melbourne with the roots of Asia. Relaxed, cheap and hip, come in between 11am and 3pm for $4 pizzas. That’s right it costs less than your Myki ticket!
Dishes include: ribs, pizza, parma and a whole lot of beer.
Average price per meal: $7
