Abbott sparks anger over Indigenous envoy role

Tony Abbott has accepted the role as special envoy for Indigenous affairs despite a backlash from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

The former prime minister says he will focus on improving Indigenous education and school attendance rates in his newfound position.
