The federal government is pushing ahead with its My Health Record online database, despite security and privacy fears. The digital record keeping system will make it easier for medical professionals, but there are continuing concerns about who else will have access to the information.
People have until October 15 to opt out of the scheme, but that deadline may be extended by a month.
