Every August 19 is a celebration of humanitarianism in all its forms. The United Nations created World Humanitarian Day as an opportunity to celebrate the efforts of humanitarians worldwide, as well as a time to reflect on the thousands of humanitarians who have lost their lives in conflict zones.
