Fair Work Australia believes former Labor MP Craig Thomson misused union funds while he was the national secretary of the HSU. Treasurer Wayne Swan’s set to announce a slim surplus in his fifth budget, but welfare groups have condemned the slashing of parenting payments. The fallout from Greek and French elections is felt across Europe, and Facebook kicks off its organ donor option in Australia.
