Heather Mofflin reports on the RMIT student.

Student Ashley Davies has been named Young Entrepreneur of the Year for his online publishing platform Tablo. Mr Davies, who is currently enrolled in the Professional Communication program at RMIT University, says the skill set he picked up from his course has been invaluable.“Working with Prof Comm and journalism and PR has allowed me to understand how the mind of a PR person or a journalist works, and I’ve got a good understanding of how I can, you know, use that industry to my advantage to gain press for the startup.” Mr Davies is taking a year off from his RMIT program to work on the iBook application.
